A lovely pub, relaxed and warm atmosphere. Good choice of drinks and friendly, prompt service. We were there on curry night and would highly recommend the meal deal, we also had desert (bounty cheesecake and sticky toffee pudding). One curry choice, homemade and tasty. Really lovely food, and the chips were homemade and great!

We ended up at the Red Lion because the other nearby pub was full and the one we initially wanted to go to didn't serve food as they advertised. The staff at the Red Lion gave us a warm welcome and the menu had a nice variety of meals to choose from. We were pleased with the well-cooked dishes we ordered for three adults and one child. The prices were reasonable for both the food and drinks. We had a good experience and will likely come back in the future.

Unassuming pub on the outside, definitely worth going through the door. Warm friendly welcome. Seated quickly. Pub classics plus some alternative dishes. Great quality mains & desserts. Range of real ales and great coffee. And for those interested in such things, pristine clean WC's.
